Volunteering trips 2025

April 2025 - Chiang Mai, Thailand

A two week volunteering trip (12-28 April) to the Northern part of Thailand, in the area around Chiang Mai. We will spend one week working in a remote Hill Tribe village helping the villagers with a couple of projects they have askeded support for: painting and refresching the local school and fixing a water dam. During our second week we will work at an elephant sanctuary that hosts around 100 injured elephants. Our tasks include minor building projects, pick and prepare food for the elephants, planting projects as well as helping out with the daily chores in the park. We have of course many opportunities to enjoy and see the elephants. In addition we have a few days in Chiang Mai where we get the opportunity to participate in the Songkran ceremonies, visit some of the most beautiful buddhist temples and participate in a cooking class where we cook and eat delicious food. This is a trip where you make a difference by supporting the elephants, the local community as well as the environment. All three are indeed connected.
