April 2027 - Sicily, Aeolian Islands

A one week (20-27 April) of total immersion in the Italian language while we visit the islands of Lipari and Salina. The trip combines guided visits, with an Italian speaking guide, of places of interest on the Islands. We will learn about the history and archaeology of these volcanic islands as well as " the Lipari of political prisoners" under fascism in Italy. Several walks are planned coupled to the visit of old thermal baths and an abandoned pumice quarry of great historical importance. The Aeolian Islands have been the theatre of many films and we will discover the hidden location where the film "The Postman" was turned. Excellent local food, good wines, tasting of local produce are part of this Aeolian experience. We will be speaking Italian throughout the week, thus a good base of Italian is recommended to fully take advantage of the trip. Application deadline: December 1st 2026. August - September 2027- Dolomites with trekking, music, Italian classes and one night up in the mountains

December 2027 - January 2028 - Napoli, Italy

A one week New Year's trip to Napoli (December 28-January 4) in collaboration with Luca Cesarini. A trip that includes among other things visits to the island of Capri with Axel Munthe's house, Napoli's catacombs and Fontanelle's cemetery which both tell a very special story of Napoli once upon a time. A visit of the ancient Pompei settlement is a must and is included in the program. Pasta, mozzarella and wine production will be part of our tour. We have a one hour Italian class every day and we will be treated with local cuisine lunch and dinner. New Year will be celebrated in a very special way, ask for the program of the trip to unveil the surprise!
