May 2019 - Sumatra, Indonesia
Two weeks with Singapore students in the animal sanctuary of Barumun Nagari in Aek Godang. The sanctuary, which we visited last summer while participating in a reforestation project, is working on developing the best conditions for the animals they host. Our project focused on the construction of 2 gibbon cages which will give gibbons the right amount of space, shade and climbing opportunities for a healthy life even if in capture. Releasing the animals in the wild will be the next step.
We continued the reforestation project, planted 2100 trees along with the building of 5 watering pools.

July 2019 - Nong Khuay, Laos
Excellent project in Nong Khuay, Laos. A couple of hours from Luang Prabang, the villagers of Nong Khuay had access to a limited amount of water which requires boilingbefore drinking. We have placed new water pipes to assure enough water, year round for all the villagers, coupled to a filter that assures clean, safe water. Also, every one of the 53 families of Nong Khuay have been given a couple of fruit trees which they/we have planted on their property. More trees were planted around the school and with the children we had trash picking sessions/information.
