January 2020 - Chiang Mai, Thailand
A two week trip (4-18 January) to the Northern part of Thailand, in the area around Chiang Mai. A very successful trip where we contributed with
-building a couple of damns (water for the animals, the people and the plantations)
-we helped in the coffee plantations of Elephant Nature Park: coffee is a source of income for the locals, it preserves the forest as it needs shade and grows happily under the forest canopy AND all profits of the coffee go to Elephant Nature Park to support the elephants!
-we were of course also involved in the day to day chores as cleaning the sheds where the elephants spend the night, washing pumpkins, unloading trucks of watermelons.... and did of course some tree planting!
