April 2018 - Massafra e Castellana Grotte, Puglia, Italy

It was indeed a full immersion in the Italian language and culture. All visits were guided with enthusiasm and each one was an Italian lesson in itself. Puglia was flowering in full and the weather was beautiful. We had the opportunity to visit some very special gardens and we tasted local wines and mozzarella cheese direct from the producers. In our tours we could see the mixture of different cultures which is the richness of Puglia: Greek, Roman, Spanish, French and Middle East cultures all live side by side.

17-24 September 2018 - Napoli, Italy

A one week trip in collaboration with Luca Cesarini with wonderful weather and a very pleasant group. We picked grapes and learned Italian. Visited Capri and Sorrento where we bathed in the sea! Went around Napoli with our guide Flavia and saw Il Cristo Velato. We participated in the celebration of the feast of San Gennaro : his blood was indeed liquid and people in the Cathedral jubilated, if otherwise it brings bad luck to Neapolitans. Excellent food and every meal was a feast!
