September 2013 - Farfa, Lazio, Italy

From olive picking with Luca Cesarini we switched to grape picking in the Farfa area! Grape picking, the wine-making process explained in Italian by la Dottoressa Fiorello in la Tenuta Sta Lucia and of course some good wine tasting made our working days very pleasant. From the convent of the Brigidine sisters of Farfa we took some interesting day trips to Viterbo to visit the Etruscan museum, Montefiascone where the former summer residence of the Popes can be seen, Tivoli with la Villa Adriana e la Villa d'Este then of course Rome and on the last day we wandered through the old Roman ruins of Ostia Antica. What a trip!! and not to forget Italian classes every morning...
